Biography:
After getting his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University, Dr. Stackhouse graduated from medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and then completed his ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He then completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Stackhouse’s area of expertise include general ophthalmology, complex cataract surgery, refractive cataract surgery, medical and surgical care of the cornea and ocular surface, corneal transplantation, and LASIK refractive surgery.

Dr. Stackhouse is thrilled to make Amelia Island his home, along with his wife and three children, and to be Nassau County’s only full-time ophthalmologist.
